In Belize, secondary school is not free. As a result, many parents can't afford to send their children to high school. We offer at-risk children the gift of a high school education that - far from being simply four additional years of school - opens up hope for the future. A quality education empowers young men and women, giving them more opportunity and the ability to attain a meaningful vocation.
In Belize, secondary school is not free. As a result, many parents can't afford to send their children to high school. Children who are unable to attend secondary school will most likely be unemployed or underemployed and thus relegated to perpetuate the intergenerational cycle of poverty.
Our sponsorship program is called "Sponsorship+" because unlike most sponsorship programs, we provide students with full-spectrum, wraparound support that includes mentoring, tutoring, academic and personal counseling, spiritual discipleship, and full financial support.
95% of our sponsored students graduate high school, while only 50% or less of the nation's students do so. A quality education empowers young men and women, giving them more opportunity and the ability to attain a meaningful vocation, breaking the intergenerational cycle of poverty.
