Hogar Luceros del Amanecer is a non-profit NGO legally constituted, for more than 15 years we are working in the promotion and protection of the rights of children and their families living in conditions of extreme poverty in the Municipality of Camoapa, Nicaragua. It is a project that is oriented to provide special attention to 120 pregnant girls and teenagers who are in highly critical situations with an average income of 1.5 dollars.
Hundreds of children and their families living in a situation of the most humiliating misery to imagine, children without opportunities to attend school, without food in their homes, with a very deteriorated state of health, without access to basic services of light , water and latrines. homes where domestic violence prevails every day, drug use, prostitution, overcrowding, lack of employment and other factors that make these families a very vulnerable condition.
The project is ensuring that 120 children attend the education centers, for this we have teachers of regular education and reinforcement, English and computer. We provide them all the school supplies from the first grade until they finish high school, we provide nutrition, comprehensive health including specialized care, apprenticeships, sports, culture, social and psychological care.
The children arrive of six or seven years of age, we intend that these children achieve bachillerarse and continue professional studies, we think to generate changes in attitude both in children and their families, improve living conditions, transform lifestyles. Benefiting 120 children and girls directly, 57 families and 840 family members of the children, as well as community services, the dance group and television programs we support an entire community.
