Our utilization plant grows more every day, thanks to your contributions we managed to remove from our streets and Ciénaga during the first five months of the year 2023, twelve tons of usable material, this material before contaminate our streets, waters and its final destination, and it was fluvial contamination.

How we have achieved it:

We have a figure called Eco Warehouse, in which thanks to the valuable donations, we receive in kind and cash, we provide the Eco Warehouse with items that are mostly difficult for the population to acquire, such as: clothing, toys, school supplies, products for the kitchen and home. The population only has to take the recyclable material and exchange it for the product they need is most.

Our children are the greatest managers of this initiative, through talks that we give in schools and colleges, we teach them the importance of recycling and they are our spokespersons with families.

Our environmental seedbed is more and more welcomed by our young people, in the environmental seedbed is which we teach them the importance of recycling and the cycle of recycled products, their participation is active and they are our great ambassadors to disseminate information with the population.

We not only capture the recyclable material, we also compact it and transport it to a transformation plant where it is converted into fibers to give it a second chance of use.

Our Eco store is a success! In this store we sell clothes, toys, school supplies and products for the home, the community exchanges with recyclable material (PET bottles, cardboard, mecato paper, aluminum, lids, etc.), money does not exist. The community feels identified with this project, since they manage to obtain a benefit by bringing all the usable material that they generate in their community and at the same time making their swamp and municipality cleaner.

We serve an average of 700 families in our warehouse on a monthly basis, benefiting approximately 2,000 people. Throughout the year 2022 we collected more than 60 tons of usable material and during these first two months of 2023 we brought more than six tons of all this recyclable material before it was found. In the streets, mangroves and swamps of the community, contaminating the water and nature.

We also have workshops to raise awareness, socialization and training in the circular economy model, environmental cleaning days.

Help us with your donations to continue collecting recyclable material so it doesn't end up in our beautiful swamp and continue educating the community

Before the collection method existed, all this recycling was destined for the streets of the community and the swamp. Since 2021 we are moving our Eco Warehouse to the different villages to collect in areas from which it is not possible for the community to move to the physical point.

The collected material is compacted at our collection point, to be later sold to Ekored, Enka and Copacabana, the money we get from the sale of recycling is invested in the community.

In the first 5 months of 2022 we have collected 9.7 tons of PET and 0.13 tons of cardboard and other materials. In large part, this material could be collected thanks to Our ECO-Warehouse in which, thanks to donations we receive in kind, the community can exchange products for the home, kitchen, clothing, among others, for recycling.

2021 was a success! We managed to collect 12 tons of recyclable material! We achieved our goal of one ton per month! There are 12 tons of garbage that we managed to prevent from contaminating our swamp. Additionally we started 2022 with all our energy, in January we collected 2 tons of recyclable material!!!
We continue with our Eco Store as a means for the community to exchange their garbage bottles for clothes, shoes, games or items for their home.

With your donations we buy bottles from recyclers in the area and we also keep our Eco warehouse supplied.

Help us with your donations to continue collecting recyclable material so it doesn’t end up in our beautiful swamp
