This project will help one hand teacher skilled and other hand children with disabilities to educate in the main stream. we need to raise awareness on these issues, to drive the rights of people with disabilities into the public consciousness and ultimately place pressure on the Government to live up to its promises and act. A combination of poverty and lack of government support prohibits them from accessing the basic services they are entitled to - such as education - and the employment opportunities they need to improve their lives. The current primary school curriculum and teacher training are not sufficient to include the needs of children with disabilities and to cover specialist methods, skills or tools, so teachers are not fully aware on how to cater for the needs of these pupils.
Teacher will be able to: clearly understand the concept of disability. concretely grasp what students have already known and mastered regarding disability. imagine how students change their leaning abilities through the lessons. put some clues in the activity to help students understanding disability independently. make use of teaching materials properly and effectively.
DDEF will Trained up 300 teacher who are teaching with students of disabilities under this project. Confident, educated and healthy girl children(special children) will be able to pursue higher education and job opportunities in the fields of their choice. They will be pillars of support for their home, parents and the community. Gender skewing in the community will recede over time. Importantly, it also ensures that the next generation gets far better parenting and therefore a better life.
