a)    Awareness Program

  • Objective & Background

Objective: Equip communities with knowledge and tools to prevent human trafficking, exploitation, and abuse

  • 16 Days of Activism Gender -Based Violence
  • White Ribbon Day

During the 16-day campaign, the WPC’s president informed all vocational program beneficiaries and community members about the ongoing celebrations, emphasizing the importance of gender equality and equal justice for both women and men. The president actively promoted awareness by engaging participants in discussions and highlighting the significance of inclusive participation in social justice initiatives.

  • Human Rights Day and Street Drama

On Human Rights Day, a compelling street drama was staged to raise awareness about gender-based violence. The event aimed to educate the community on the significance of respecting and safeguarding human rights, with particular attention to the challenges encountered by individuals affected by gender-based violence. The performance depicted real-life scenarios, prompting the audience to consider the profound impact of such violence and the necessity for collective action. Through this commemoration, organizers sought to foster empathy, promote understanding, and encourage a shared commitment to building a safer and more equitable society for all.

  • Workshop on Misinformation & Online Harassment

WPC’s young women participated in a two-day provincial workshop on misinformation and online harassment, organized by the Center for Media Research – Nepal (CMR-Nepal). Building on this, WPC led a one-day Online Harassment Awareness Campaign for high school students in the community. The campaign focused on identifying online harassment, promoting practical digital safety strategies, and fostering open discussion among participants. All the students reported increased awareness and confidence in protecting themselves online as a result of these initiatives.

WPC is committed to protecting and empowering women and children, both within our safe home and the broader community. We apply knowledge gained from workshops and trainings to maximize our impact through targeted community programs in Nepal.
