Project Report | Feb 6, 2023
Feb 23

By Scott Lange | Executive Director

Thank you for your support of our ambassador animals! It's been a uniquely challenging winter, as temperatures plunged and our central heat went out and stayed out for 6 long and frigid weeks. Because of your support, we were able to arrange space heaters and devise a careful monitoring system to keep them working safely throughout the outage. And when it was coldest - 9 degrees on 12/23, we were able to keep the center tolerably warm as we brought all the ambassadors indoors, even the ones that normaly do fine with their heatlamps outside. The only exception was the bobcats, who have heatlamps, straw nesting, and do well even in frigid cold. Thank you for your support!
