Shrushti (India, Class 34, Host: Ashoka)

Hello!

Thank you for your ongoing support. Your involvement in Atlas Corps helped us to welcome Shurshti to the United States in January!

Shrushti is a trained psychologist who comes with an unconventional mix of private and public sector experience. In her most recent role, she worked with Ashoka, amplifying and connecting a global community that is leading the everyone a changemaker movement. Shrushti has organized one of the biggest global events in collaboration with the C&A Foundation, the Fabric of Change Globalizer, to support innovators for a sustainable apparel industry. Shrushti recognized the unarguable economic market opportunity and environmental benefits of recycling waste and co-founded Reash, a company that is working on waste management and building circular systems across South Asia. Reash is a digital waste management platform incentivizing recycling in countries that lack safe or reliable waste disposal systems by offering redeemable points. She started her first initiative at the age of 13, with the idea of creating a community-led tree plantation movement to save her neighborhood from droughts. She has been teaching yoga to underprivileged children since the age of 18, with the intention of helping children/young adults develop a problem-solving attitude through the art form.

As an Atlas Corps Fellow serving at Ashoka, Shrushti will work closely with Ashoka’s DC-based Global Venture and Fellowship Team to support the Fellow selection process and drive partnership development and various fundraising initiatives.

Thank you for support Shrushti and our growing community of 700+ social change leaders from 93 countries!

Here's looking forward to an exciting 2019-

Scott

P.S. Save the date! Atlas Corps Celebrate Diversity & Inclusion Gala on November 16, 2019, in Washington, DC. We hope to see you there!
