Atlas Corps Welcomes Class 48

By Bidjan Nashat | CEO, Atlas Corps

Hello [donor first name]

I hope you all had a wonderful start to this new year! On behalf of our Superheroes, thank you for your continued support!

Thanks to you, Fellows like Michelle (Class 44, Mexico) can continue to inspire positive change at their Host Organizations. While at One to World, Michelle is involved in their flagship program, Global Classroom, which delivers a series of intercultural programs to under resourced youth. Michelle shares, “it was certainly surprising to later receive letters from some children telling me how I taught them things about their own country that they did not about before  – little did I knew there were some Mexican children in the classroom – or others even explaining how they understood their privilege of not having to leave their country alone.”

As we continue to move forward into 2023, I am pleased to report that our global network continues to grow! Here are a few of our most recent highlights…

Last month, Atlas Corps welcomes Class 48, a group of 5 innovative leaders from Cuba, Egypt, Nigeria, and Zimbabwe. I encourage you to meet our new Fellows here. With your support, we were able to connect our Class 48 Fellows with their Host Organizations, including my former colleagues at Save the Children and our newest partner, Generation. Generation is a global nonprofit that prepares, places, and supports people into life-changing careers that would otherwise be inaccessible. Since launching our Remote Fellowship Program, we were able to successfully place 4 Generation Fellows in Class 47 and 1 Generation Fellow in Class 48. You can learn more about Generation here and our partnership here.

Lastly, I have one more very important update to share with you. Please join our Team in wishing our Chief Strategy Officer and Atlas Corps Alum Abby a farewell. After 12.5 years on our Team, Abby has been a valuable team member and an inspiration to our entire Community. As an Alum she will continue to bring her positive energy to our Community. Here is a special thank you from Abby:

Atlas Corps is a special part of all of our journeys. Atlas Corps is about connecting with dynamic individuals who share a passion for possibility. Thank you, Atlas Corps Community (staff, donors, volunteers, and more) for providing me the opportunity to be a Fellow and believing in my ability to grow and lead this organization. The future is bright and I am excited to be part of it!

Thank you for inspiring our network of Superheroes! I cannot express enough how much we value your friendship. Until next time!

Kindly,

Bidjan
