Exciting updates in the Atlas Corps Community!

By Abby Robinson | Chief Strategy Officer | Alumna Class 2 (USA)

Hello, Friend!

2022 continues to be an unforgettable year for Atlas Corps filled with new changes and lasting connections. I am happy to share with you that Atlas Corps is now an official Open Gov Hub Member! Open Gov Hub has been a valued Host Organization over the years and we are excited to continue to share synergies with them as we move forward into the future. We welcome you to learn more about Open Gov Hub and their Global Affiliate Hubs, including the three that are run by Atlas Corps Alumni: Albania, Liberia, and Tunisia. Also, we encourage you to update your records with our new address:

Atlas Corps
c/o Open Gov Hub
1100 13th Street NW, Suite 800
Washington, D.C. 20005-4281

As a special thank you for continuously inspiring our Superheroes, we invite you to a month filled with celebrations and opportunities to get involved.

  • Invite - Mark your calendars! We invite you to join us on October 18 at 12pm ET for our Fall Celebration of Service! We will be featuring all of our Fellows, Scholars, and Alumni that have began and/or completed their service in the last few months, including our: 2022 Cohort of Hilton Prize Scholars: In our June update, we welcomed them into our Global Community and now, thanks to your support, we will be celebrating their graduation! Meet them here; and Cohort 10 Scholars: These dynamic leaders from Russia and the United States will be participating in our Virtual Leadership Institute, “Leadership in Times of Change.” Meet some of them here.
  • Spread the Word - Virtual Leadership Institute Recruitment - Atlas Corps recently launched the recruitment campaigns for professionals in Nicaragua and climate change leaders in Spain. You are welcome to share amongst your professional networks using our social media toolkits (Nicaragua and Spain).

Thank you for helping Atlas Corps #BuildBridges by connecting our Fellows, like Daliya (Class 41, India) to their Host Organizations. Daliya is the Marketing and Communications Fellow at SAP, where she leads their global internal and external campaigns and supports their social media channel, SAP4Good. Her supervisor, Jennifer Beason, the Global Director of Social Business, shares how you are making a difference in their organization:

“In the long run, I believe that having a skilled Atlas Corps Fellow join our team to focus specifically on an area of our business that was underserved–in our case SAP’s Corporate Social Responsibility, Marketing and Communication Strategy makes a drastic difference. Daliya’s inputs and initiatives have allowed us to be more thoughtful about how we communicate the impact our programs are delivering every single day. The level of focus and attention to storytelling detail would not have been possible without having Daliya as a trusted team member.” (I invite you to read more about Daliya’s work at SAP here.)

Cheers-

Abby

P.S. I encourage you to visit and follow the Atlas Corps LinkedIn page, where we will continue to update on all of these exciting events!
