Assistance a 315 personnes sinistrees a Bukavu

Dear Partners,

We are very pleased to present this June report for our project to assist 315 disaster victims in Bukavu, Democratic Republic of Congo.

This report is the third since the GlobalGiving team validated our project, which we continually thank for its wonderful work helping people in distress.

Our project is progressing at a snail's pace due to a lack of funding, which we are still awaiting. Since its validation, we received a €10 donation from an anonymous benefactor on April 29, 2025, for which we express our sincere thanks. We continue to raise awareness about environmental management, actions that can significantly reduce fires in our city.

We are confident that with the awareness raised in our community, fires have decreased.

We continue to mobilize donors to support this project, as many people are homeless in the city of Bukavu. This situation worsened in February 2025, when the city received several internally displaced people fleeing the clashes.

We organized a training session and two awareness campaigns in local schools. You will find some images attached.

We are still appealing to donors for help because, after our awareness campaign, we deplore six fires this June, the causes of which remain unclear. We also regret the disappearance of five people, including three children under ten years old.
The need for assistance for all these families remains acute. May our donors and philanthropists continue to help us.
