The goal of this project is to improve Racejey's life by having an Imperforate procedure. 3-year-old Racejey resides in Eastern Samar, Philippines. He was born with an Imperforate Anus, a congenital flaw that develops when a baby is still in the early stages of pregnancy. After birth, there is no way to let the feces out. This will cover the expenses for his check-ups, the actual procedure, consultations, laboratory tests, and other expenses related to the procedure.
After birth, the doctor found out that Racejey had a missing anus. He was immediately operated at Eastern Visayas Regional Medical Center to avoid other complications to the child. Since the family cannot afford to buy colostomy bags, the family utilizes plastic wrappers as replacements. Racejey was able to join the list of Good Neighbors-sponsored children last December 2021. Since then, the family had high hopes that GN could help them financially with the child's operation.
Good Neighbors Child Sponsorship Program provides a system for sponsors to support children in Good Neighbors-supported areas. While under the program, children are not just given materials and resources through item distributions, but they are also given access to more opportunities for quality education, good nutrition, and proper health care. Special cases like Racejeys are taken into consideration as part of our CSP-Special Protection Program thanks to the support of our donors.
Racejey will have more opportunities to live a better life as a result of his surgery.
