Thank you for supporting the Asian Girls Campaign. We are deeply grateful for your generosity and commitment to empowering young women across Asia.
We are pleased to share that on May 16, we successfully held our first online session : Not Without Her Gender x SDGs Online Workshop. Twenty-two inspiring participants from 16 countries joined us to explore important issues affecting women and girls throughout the region, including:
Global Impact – How Asia bears many of the external costs of industrial globalization.
Community Resilience –Women's crucial roles in agriculture and disaster management (ex: Nepal’s earthquake response), proving the impact of gender mainstreaming.
Health and Environment – How women are disproportionately affected by plastic pollution due to hormonal vulnerabilities and social roles, impacting future generations.
Your generous donations helped make this session possible by covering the costs of hosting and organizing the event. We sincerely thank you for being part of this important work.
At the same time, we regret to inform you that the fundraising campaign for the Asian Girls Campaign on GlobalGiving will be suspended.
This difficult decision follows a recent change on the platform requiring the project location to be listed as "Chinese Taipei" rather than "Taiwan." As this change has generated significant public concern and discussion in Taiwan, we have decided to suspend the fundraising campaign on GlobalGiving at this time.
While the fundraising campaign will no longer be available on the platform, the Asian Girls Campaign itself will continue. We remain committed to supporting and connecting young women leaders across Asia and advancing gender equality through regional collaboration and advocacy.
