Arts For All is in full swing in our partner schools!
This Fall, Arts For All has programs currently running in nearly all five boroughs! In Manhattan, Literacy Through the Arts is a year-long program that works with students at PS 15 and Hamilton Heights in kindergarten through 2nd grade to build literacy skills through multi-arts curriculm. Students have learned the song "What a Wonderful World", created puppets for "Where the Wild Things Are" and made campaign posters for "Duck For President". In the Bronx at PS 163 and Brooklyn at Weeksville, students are building drama skills. The Visual Arts and Haiku poetry is back at PS 76 in Queens. The students were treated to a visit from Amy Losak, daughter of Haiku poet Sydell Rosenberg, whose poems have served as inspiration for the artwork in the residency.
Thank you once again for your continued support of our mission. This project is nearly funded, please visit the new link: https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/art-programs-in-need-new-york-children/ to continue to support Arts For All programs. Without your help, we would not be able to reach thousands of under-served New York City children with our accessible arts programs.
