Greetings in 2025!
As we embark on this new year, Arts For All is thrilled to update our GlobalGiving community on our vision for 2025. Your unwavering support has enabled us to emerge stronger over the past five years, as we've expanded our reach across New York City through our passionate staff, talented teaching artists, generous donors, and committed partner organizations.
1) Our signature programs continue to thrive (Artistic Residency Program, Literacy Through the Arts, and Audience Project). Delivered both digitally and in-person, we maintain our impact on approximately 5,000 children annually.
2) This Spring, we have over 350 Literacy Through the Arts in-person workshops planned with our school partners: PS15, PS76, Renaissance Charter School Jackson Heights and Elmhurst, PS163 and PS4.
3) Our Artistic Residency Program is on track to offer over 300 in-person workshops this Spring between all of our ARP school partners including: PS15, PS69, PS163, PS194, PS19, Renaissance Charter School Jackson Heights, Williamsburg High School of Arts and Tech, PS243, New Alternatives for Children, Corlears School, and PS76.
Audience Project Fall 2024
Arts For All provided several exciting trips to Broadway performances to school partners last fall!
Thank you to Play On! Studios for their support in making these events happen for the children of New York City!
Arts For All's Audience Project brings a free professional theater production to under-served kids in the NYC area. Previous productions include: The Emperor’s New Clothes, Pinocchio!, Pig Pen Theatre’s The Mountain Song, and Mélissa Smith’s The Magician’s Assistant and BLAST OFF! Astronaut Training Residency.
4) Since 2024, our Virtual Classroom content has grown to a total of 192 videos between 23 different series (over 68,000 views), providing resources for educators and supplements for our in-person residencies. We have an exciting new video series in the works, where we highlight the cultures and backgrounds of our talented Teaching Artists. The series, expected to launch later this Spring, will feature special performances, art showcases, read-alouds, and much more from our Teaching Artists. Be sure to subscribe to our newsletter for the latest content from our Virtual Classroom!
Since our last report, we are very excited to announce the addition of new and returning supporters to Arts For All, including contributions from World Education Services, National Endowment for the Arts, NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, New York State Council on the Arts, the Markel Group, and Linden Arts Fund for Children. We could not accomplish our mission without the crucial help from our funders, and we are incredibly grateful as always for their help!
We also are deeply grateful to YOU, our GlobalGiving community, for your continuous support and belief in our mission to bring accessible artistic opportunities to children across New York City. Thanks to your generosity, we've been able to expand our reach through both in-person and virtual programs, reaching more young lives than ever before.
As we look ahead in 2025, we invite you to continue being part of our journey by considering a contribution. Your support will help ensure that we can maintain and grow our sustainable, quality arts programs for under-served children throughout New York City, creating lasting impact for generations to come.
Sincerely,
Anna Roberts Ostroff
Executive Director
