The Arkansas Women’s Business Center (AWBC) assists Arkansas-based nascent and established women entrepreneurs, a representative number of them socially and economically disadvantaged. Since the opening of the center in late April 2011, the center has assisted 40 businesses through one-on-one business counseling and educated 55 participants in start-up basics, marketing, online selling, and web design.
One of the AWBC’s start-up business success stories is Simon Says Consignment Shop. Simon Says sells high quality children’s clothes in its new retail space on the town square in El Dorado, Ark. The AWBC assisted the business in the development of a viable business plan and with the identification of much needed financial resources. The AWBC is eager to continue its support to women entrepreneurs and share more success stories in the future. Thanks for your support.
