Small businesses are the lifeblood of the American economy. In Arkansas, the percentage of women-owned small businesses is on the rise, increasing 17% from 1997-2002. However, during times of economic uncertainty, new and prospective business owners can benefit greatly from a dedicated support system. The Arkansas Women's Business Center is supporting this trend by providing strong incentives for more women entrepreneurs to realize their potential in the domestic and international marketplace.
Through business plan development support, market feasibility studies, one-on-one mentoring services, fundraising assistance, and enhanced links to capital investments, the Arkansas Women's Business Center offers disadvantaged women entrepreneurs the tools they need to succeed.
The services offered by the Arkansas Women's Business Center will support and encourage 250 beneficiaries per year to start their own small businesses and contribute towards gender equity and towards growing a more robust American economy.
