Since the last report, the Arena Market Fire Recovery Project has continued its fundraising and preparatory activities to support the 10 traders affected by the December 30, 2025 fire. Financially, the project remains at an early stage, with $12 raised toward the $100,000 goal, leaving a funding gap of $99,988. No recovery grants have been disbursed yet because available funds remain insufficient to begin the planned support.
The project team has continued preparations for beneficiary verification, grant distribution, inventory replacement, damaged container reconstruction, and the procurement of fire safety equipment. Priority remains on mobilizing additional donations so that emergency financial assistance can be provided to the affected traders as soon as possible. Once adequate funding is secured, transparent disbursement and tracking procedures will be implemented to ensure funds are properly allocated and beneficiaries receive timely support. Continued fundraising is therefore critical to restoring the affected businesses and helping families recover their livelihoods.
