This project will be reactivated until further notice. The AIDS Response Effort LGBTQ+ Center is currently under renovation, which is occurring in phases. Some unexpected electrical work has caused the wheelchair lift project to be postponed.
ARE’s new LGBTQ+ Center is the first of its kind in the City of Winchester, VA, and it serves six rural counties in the Northern Shenandoah Valley. It is a safe and affirming place for members of the LGBTQ+ community and their families to find support, resources and education to live healthy and productive lives.
