Q2 2026 AquaTrust Household Connections Report
During the second quarter of 2026, Uganda Water Project expanded access to water through 46 household connections linked to mechanized water systems in Wakiso and Luwero Districts.
These connections extend existing water infrastructure directly to households, bringing water closer to where families live. During the quarter, connections were added across several systems and communities, including Nabukalu, Kimbejja, Wabutungulu-Kabawuulu, Mwera, Manyama-Mato, and Katolobozi.
Much of this quarter’s activity was concentrated around the Nabukalu and Wabutungulu-Kabawuulu mechanized systems, with additional household connections extending the reach of other existing systems. The connections were recorded throughout April, May, and June 2026.
Household connections are an important next step in our water access work. While a mechanized system establishes a reliable water supply within a community, extending that network to individual households can make water significantly more accessible for families and increase the value of infrastructure already in place.
We are grateful for the support that makes this expansion possible. Each new household connection helps bring reliable water closer to home while allowing existing community water systems to serve people in new and increasingly convenient ways.
