Care for orphan children living with HIV

Project Report | Dec 28, 2025
Better HIV Life is posible

By PATRICIA ESTEFANIA LUCANO HERNANDEZ | Fundarasing Coordinator

Dear Friend

When this project began, many of the children we support knew only institutions, schedules, and rotating caregivers. They had already faced profound loss at an early age—losing their parents and living with an HIV diagnosis that often comes with stigma and silence.

This project exists to change that story.

During this reporting period, our work focused on one of the most meaningful transformations a child can experience: moving from institutional care into a foster home . In Mexico, this step represents not only protection, but the real possibility of adoption and a permanent family.

Our model places the child at the center. Health, emotional well-being, and family integration are addressed together, recognizing that healing happens not only through medicine, but through love, routine, and human connection.

We walk alongside each child and foster family, offering close accompaniment at every stage of the process.
