Thank you for your continued support of IBSF. Your money goes to great use- giving the students of the Light School a safe, stable environment in which to learn.
During our recent visit to the school,we found that the children were happy and engaged in their work. As well, our students were preparing for the upcoming Sports Competition at the school.The Sports day is a great way for students to celebrate and let loose with their friends. The day traditionally consists of variety of events, games and competitions that everyone can enjoy.
Many games and activities are being planned for the day including; Volleyball, Sprint, 3-legged race, Relay races, Egg race, Sack Race, Water Ballon Toss, Making Bubbles, Tug of War, March past and many other fun games. The goal is to have our students participate in various sports and games with the cooperation of their teachers and parents. As a result, students will come to realize the value of cooperation and team spirit.
Students & Schools from neighboring villages have also been invited with the hope of engaging them in friendly competitions.
It is also an opportunity to have parents of the students visit the school and we get the opportunity to spend some time with their parents. In addition, it provides an opportunity for community engagement for us to further stress the importance of having children go to school to secure an education.
We plan to have this event towards the end of the school year but always stress the importance of proper preparation which is why they have embarked on early practise towards the event. We look forward to providing you with a report after the Sports day event occurs.
We thank you for your continued supoort which provides us with the resources to be able to expose our students to many activities and events to further broaden their minds and prepare them to compete in the world when they gradate.
