This project is our Annual Silent Auction, which is our big fundraiser that helps us to continue our financial support in maintaining and sustaining The Ishahayi Beach School and Ife Oluwa Primary School.
The Shinning Light school is located in a remote village with no access to grid power. Ageing diesel generator is currently being used to power the academic building, teachers quarters, computer room, kitchen and water pump.Funds are needed to build solar power to provide clean and reliable electricity to the school. In addition, IBSF wants to work on breaking the cycle by sponsoring graduates of the light school to senior high school and University.
The project will provide the funds to be able to build solar power for the village and remove the dependency on generators. In addition, funds will be available to sponsor more children to further their education after graduation from the Light School.
The project will enable the school access to electricity and power supply without disruptions. As well, the project will enable the IBSF to provide continue to provide scholarships to students after graduation from the Light School.
