ACHIEVEMENTS FOR THE PERIOD UNDER REVIEW:
2.1 Learning Squared Kick Start it 3rd Annual Back to School Books Ride
Learning Squared launched its 3rd back-to-school book ride in October 2022. Four counties participated in the exercise, including private and public schools in (Montserrado, Bomi, Margibi, and Bong). This program is an annual event that seeks to provide school supplies to children at the start of the academic year for students on the edge of survival and families struggling to make ends meet. Most parents and families need help to buy notebooks, pens, pencils, and learning materials. As a result, children will have books, pens, and learning materials they need to begin the school year. Students need books, pens, and learning materials to start the school year.
The event was funded by Learning Squared, with support from friends of Liberia in the USA and Liberia. Six schools benefited from the exercise, including D. W. Institute Elementary School, Kingdom Builder Elementary School, ROSODAN School System, St. Eaffa School, Agape Elementary and Junior High school, and Minor Community School.
"We are excited to be a part of this exercise, as our institution is playing a leading role in supporting children's education in Liberia," noted Alvin Freeman, Country Manager of Learning Squared. Speaking on behalf of parents at the Minor Community School, Madam Kebeh, a member of the PTA, noted, "With the support from Learning Squared, we don't have to worry about books and other learning materials for our children this semester. Thank you for the support."
Madam, Korpo, a female participant at the Kingdom Builder Elementary School in Klay District, thanked Learning Squared for the support over the last three years and urged parents to support their children's education. Two thousand five hundred dollars raised for the 2022 book ride. Two thousand copies of school supplies were distributed to three hundred and twenty-five students representing six schools. Thanks to our sponsors and donors, we are grateful for your support.
2.3 Recommendation and Conclusion
