Animal Treatment Fund

Dear Supporters,

Another month of working in the rural communities has reminded us just how great the need for accessible veterinary care remains.

Our animal treatment work continues to be busy, with a constant flow of animals needing help. Vaccination and disease prevention remain an important part of our work, particularly through rabies control and 5-in-1 vaccinations. Preventative care is critical in communities where veterinary services can be difficult to access and the cost of treatment is often simply beyond what owners can afford.

We are also continuing to see dogs affected by TVT (transmissible venereal tumour), with new cases regularly coming to our attention. These cases can require repeated treatment and ongoing monitoring, making access to medication and veterinary supplies particularly important.

Poisoning cases have also been a significant concern recently. These situations are often urgent, requiring immediate assessment and treatment, and can place considerable pressure on the limited resources available to us.

Behind every case is an animal that needs help, and our ability to respond depends heavily on having the necessary medications, vaccines, consumables and treatment supplies available when they are needed.

This is why the Animal Treatment Fund remains so important.

Your donations allow us to continue responding to animals who might otherwise go untreated simply because their owners cannot afford veterinary care. They help us maintain essential supplies and, most importantly, allow us to say yes when an animal needs help.

The need does not stop, and neither does the work.
