The Animal Treatment Fund is one of our most important and most supported projects. It’s simple in what it does, but the impact is huge. It allows us to help animals who would otherwise have no access to care.
We truly could not continue this work without our donors. Every bit of support goes directly into helping animals. From treating TVT cases, to sterilising dogs, to making sure we have the right medicine, tools and equipment on hand, it all comes from this fund. Even something as basic as fuel makes a difference, because without it, we simply can’t reach the animals who need us.
One of our biggest goals right now is to increase sterilisation. This is such an important part of what we do. By sterilising more dogs, we can prevent unwanted litters, reduce fighting and roaming, and lower the number of animals that end up injured or suffering. It’s one of the most effective ways to create long term change.
At the same time, we are dealing with a large number of TVT cases in the areas we work in. These cases take time and consistency to treat properly, and we are committed to working through as many of them as possible. Each dog treated not only gets a second chance, but also helps stop the spread of the disease.
Our outreach work continues to grow, especially in places like Selwane. With new roads being built, we are seeing more accidents involving dogs, which means more emergency cases and more pressure on our team. At the same time, vaccinations remain critical. They save lives and protect entire communities of animals.
Being able to do things like take X rays, treat injuries properly, and get dogs healthy enough to return home is something we never take for granted. This fund makes all of that possible.
At the end of the day, this project is about giving animals a chance. A chance to heal, a chance to live without pain, and a chance to go back to where they belong.
Every donation really does matter, and every cent goes toward making that happen.
