Animal Treatment Fund

Every month we treat the animals of Selwane with both preventative medicines but also assist with any emergencies that may come about. Once monthly we hold an outreach for the dogs and donkeys of Selwane, where we administer life-saving vaccinations, deworming, tick and flea treatments and health checks. 

This fund contributes to all of these treatments which are drastically increasing the welfare of the animals of Selwane. In the last 3 months this is what your donation has helped with

• 340 dogs were vaccinated for rabies, distemper, hepatitis and parvovirus. 
• 323 dogs were treated with tick and flea prevention. deworming and health checked
• 6 dogs have been succesfully treated with chemotherapy for Canine Venereal cancer (Transmissible venereal Tumours)
• 7 female dogs were sterilised, preventing unwanted litters. 
• 1 female cat was sterilised. 
• 8 donkeys were treated for wounds resulting from poor harnesses
• 3 goats were having trouble giving birth and were successfully treated with medication to assist. This resulted in 2 live baby goats being born. 
• 1 cow was treated after she sustained nerve damaging after giving birth. After treatment and rehabiliation, she is now standing and back with the other cows.
