HALO goes out 6 days a week in the rural communities around Hoedspruit, responding to emergency calls. The last three months our ambulance has been exceptionally busy driving to and from sick dogs, dogs in need of emergency help and treatment. We drove out a total of 102 times in 3 months to help dogs. From TVT treatments at the vet, to sterilisations, but also a case of parvo and one case of distemper was, several severely sick dogs (25 cases of babesia and ehrlichia), 6 surrendered dogs, 2 snake bites, one severely sick puppy that had to be euthanised; our team was driving on and off to alleviate the suffering of dogs in need.
