Dear partner,
Thanks to your continuous support toward ensuring African girls and young women have access to education through the Angaza Education grants. The Angaza High School Scholarship is a fully funded scholarship awarded to high-performing girls from underserved and under-resourced backgrounds. The multi-year scholarships include termly school fees, provision of school supplies for the girls’ well-being, and upholding their dignity. In contrast, at school and termly, psychological support is conducted through professional counselors specializing in adolescent counseling.
As we continue championing Sustainability Goal 4, Education, we are thrilled to share that we recently onboarded 15 new scholars, leading to 48 scholars across our partner schools. Additionally, three of our scholars have transitioned from high school and are waiting to join higher learning institutes in the coming year.
“Education has equipped me with knowledge and exposed me to many great things; I now aspire for more than just the life of a beaded girl in my community. I hope that all girls will have access to education one day,” said Esterina, Akili Dada alumnae.
Your generous contribution has enabled girls to make their voices heard and gain significant representation, establishing them as a force to be reckoned with. As we close the year, we genuinely appreciate your backing and anticipate a continued collaboration in the coming years.
