Education is a powerful tool that can break barriers and uplift communities. Unfortunately, many talented students in Kenya lack the financial resources to pursue their studies. By contributing to the Angaza programme, you're investing in a cycle of growth, empowerment, and knowledge-sharing that will ripple through generations.
One beneficiary of Lewa's Angaza programme, Franklin, shares his story below. He has been part of the programme since January 2019 when he enrolled in his first year of studies at Nakuru High School.
The bursary initiative has played a pivotal role in facilitating my academic path by providing a comprehensive range of support. This includes covering my tuition fees, supplying my school uniforms, providing pocket money for various expenses, and even assisting with school shopping needs. Lewa’s consistent assistance created a sense of calm and comfort, allowing me to dedicate myself more intensely to my studies. As a result of their guidance, dedication, and my own diligent efforts, I achieved a B+ grade upon completion of my high school studies, which opened the door to a momentous opportunity: an admission offer from Embu University to embark on a journey towards my dream of obtaining a law degree.
As I reflect upon this journey, my heart brims with gratitude towards the kind-hearted souls who, through their contributions to the Angaza programme, have ignited a flame of hope and transformation in my life.
