During this reporting period, we completed an interview with Rodman George (pictured) focusing on the traditional African game of Warri. More than simply recording the rules of the game, the interview captures its cultural significance, the memories associated with playing Warri, and the role it has played in bringing generations of Barbudans together.
Using this interview, we produced an audiovisual feature (see link) that helps preserve this important aspect of Barbudan culture while making it accessible to a wider audience through digital platforms.
Every story we record becomes a lasting piece of Barbuda's cultural archive. While this is just the beginning, your support is helping us lay the foundation for a growing collection of oral histories that will preserve the voices, traditions, and knowledge of our community for future generations.
