Solar PV lamps were distributed to the members of Shree Gundi Pariwartan Women Group in a remote village of Gundi, Rapti Municipality-13, Chitwan in central Nepal, where there is no access to electricity. Mrs. Remika, member of Shree Gundi Pariwartan Women Group shared, “the support of clean and portable lamps allows children to do their homework after dusk and provides residents with a cleaner source of lighting for their homes. Solar PV lamps have now replaced kerosene lamps, significantly reducing health hazards such as burns and toxic fume inhalation. We are very thankful for the support.”
ECCA has been promoting the use of affordable and much more sustainable solar lights, to replace kerosene lights that are used in most houses where they have no electricity.
We are also thankful for your support.
