Jajarkot is located in the hilly districts of Mid-Western region in Nepal. It is graded as the ninth remote district, which has road connection only up to the district headquarter and has very limited access to electricity and telephone. After promulgation of new constitution (in September 2015), Jajarkot district lies on province 6, and ECCA project is being implemented in Punma Village. As there is no electricity in the village, life is difficult. ECCA plans to provide solar light system to the villagers in a phase-wise manner, in coordination with the local ward office. To identify the poor and needy families, survey was done. Orientation on renewable energy / solar energy was also provided to the local women group members. The components of the solar light system (along with the battery) has been procured and the preparation is going on. The solar system will soon be handed over to the families. We thank you for your support.
