The Aids – Peace – Development Youth Project Report
This Project (Aids – Peace – Development Youth Educational Center) intends to help the youth in Burundi to tackle the problems related to HIV/Aids, Peace and Development, through the use of internet. It will enable the youth in Burundi to communicate, learn, be informed and educated on different issues, above mentioned.
Those already affected by Aids will learn how to conduct themselves in order to live more days and the none affected ones will learn how to protect themselves and how to avoid its propagation in their community and nation. This Project will help thousands of people from all ages and gender groups, background to fight against HIV/AIDS and promote PEACE and DEVELOPMENT in their own community and nation for their bright future.
As soon as funds are raised, this project will get started. Until this time I am writing this report, only $30 has been donated for this project, within a period of 3 month the project has been posted. During my two month visit in USA, I have been sharing with donors and friends of JRMD the importance of this project for youth in Burundi and how they can be involved.
Happily, I can inform our donors and friends that we (JRMD/YRWD) are eligible to participate in Microsoft's matching campaign, "Giving Tuesday", December 3rd, 2013. There will be $250,000 matching funds available
from Microsoft on December 3rd.
The "Giving Tuesday" campaign will begin at 9:01 a.m. Pacific Time/ noon Eastern Standard time, December 3, 2013 and will end December 4th at 8:59 a.m. PT and at 11:59 a.m. ET, or whenever matching funds run out. Matching is applied at 100% for every $1 up to $1,000 per donor per project. Only online donations (credit card or PayPal) are eligible for matching. Donations made by gift card, check, or text-to-give are not eligible for matching.
