WE LIVE IN A CHANGING WORLD!!

We live in a changing World and situations. Whatever situation we experience, life continues as long as we live. Whatever situation we experienced yesterday, today it becomes a story and tomorrow is our expectation of what is going to happen, even though there is no one knows what the future holds.

For instance, today in Burundi where I live, there is less job opportunities, especially for those who complete their university studies and the few who have a chance to get a job, the salary paid does not enable them to meet their basic needs.

The changing World is resulting discouragement and hopelessness in the lives of today’s people and nations, mostly young people. Lack of job opportunities, absence of peace and security, hunger, killings happening here and there.

Briefly, what is happening around the world today continues to show us that people need a new way of living, behaving and acting towards peace and freedom for the entire humanity. For instance, in Sierra Leone, Liberia, Congo, Rwanda, Burundi, etc…, thousands of innocent people who were not killed, were cut their arms, legs, sex, and their eyes were completely destroyed and others were forced to kill their own children and eat them. The more affected are young people.

Besides the war and terrorism actions, there are poverty and HIV/AIDS that are griping a part of the world, mostly the continent of Africa. Due to these issues, people live without hope for their future. Today, in this part of the World, the number of refugees, widows and orphans is increasing day to day. These people live without hope, wandering around from place to place, without knowing where to go or what to do. As you know, peace is not possible for people who do not have where to live. There is NO way to promote peace, reconciliation, education, technology, development, safety, health in and among the families who do not have shelter; who are suffering in refugee camps, just waiting without any hope.

It's sad to see that African nations, remain the most troubled in the world, politically, socially and economically, due to a bad system of leadership, established by yesterday’s and today’s political leaders. A politic that benefits few and kills many socially and economically. This kind of politic does not match with the time in which we live today.

To get out from this situation of bad governance that we observe in Africa, poverty, hunger, colonization of minds and stealing of the natural resources of Africa; Africa

needs to wake up with a will that gives a new Face and Hope to the Continent of Africa; a new will that gives a new way of living, behaving and acting for peace and development, which the entire Continent is waiting for. A new way that gives young generation a hope for the future.

If we do not invest in young people today, tomorrow there will be others who will manipulate and misuse them for their own interest and benefit. To meet the today’s young people need, we need to create job opportunities, help them establish small businesses and microfinances projects. With the help of our donors and friends it can be done. Donors and friends help us make this to happen in the life’s of our community and leaders of to morrow.
