Your support makes it possible for MECA to sustain thousands of children and families who lost their homes or were pushed into severe poverty by Israeli bombing, the pandemic, and the brutal siege while also providing income for farmers and cooperatives in Gaza.
According to Gaza Urban and Peri-urban Agricultural Platform, one of MECA's partners in Gaza: "Farmers in the Gaza Strip number around 20,000 – approximately 95% are poorly resourced family farmers working small areas of land. These farmers, men and women, are actually the backbone and the secret behind the survival and resilience of Gaza’s food system throughout these years of protracted crisis and isolation."
