We continue to support the communities located in the buffer zone of the Cambugán-Paso Alto Protected Forests. In addition to the communities of Jatumpamba and Bellavista, three more communities were added: Pamplona, Atahualpa, and El Golán.
The communities of Jatumpamba and Bellavista participated in the Latitud Verde Fair in the city of Mitad del Mundo, where they exhibited the products produced in their areas, including cassava, bananas, fruits such as oranges, chirimoña, taxo, pineapple, and grains. In addition, the commercialization space is maintained in the parish of Píntag, where agroecological products from the pilot farm are marketed on weekends.
The academy joins in the process of strengthening the farms, with the support of students from the Sucre Institute, the maintenance of the cultivation areas and the paths of the pilot farm in Pintag was carried out, as well as reforestation.
A new signage workshop was held so the farm owners could organize their work areas and visitors could follow self-guided trails.
