Dear supporters!
I wish you all a happy, healthy and succesful new year!
We made a huge party with the whole crew in Kayes. We bought the food locally, had seminars and had drinks. It was a succes and motivated the whole community even more!
The Biopal-Team is getting ready to visit the project in Mali on the 24th of january. The ministery of defense is helping us to get new batteries, solar panels and medication to our project. We are so excited about these developments.
When we arrive, we will start building the classrooms and will engage in organizing more educational trainings with the university of Bamako. We will plan the course so that the poorest and most vulnarable people of the region of Kayes can participate. We have already signed in to teachers that speak bambara (local languages) and frensh, because women and girls are often the ones that are discriminated to to their lack of frensh.
We got new donations from the government, so that we can start earlier than we were hoping for!
Moreover we will see the results of how our biological test on growing crops went.
We will keep you posted and send you the latest updates once we arrive in Kayes. Then we will also send you the latest photos.
Keep safe and keep supporting. We can make a change, for people that would otherwise have no future at all.
Kind regards,
Laura Striegel
