Dear GlobalGiving Donors,
Our After School Academy continues to serve 250 students daily as we work on the development of our new curriculum. Classes continue to be held at our Youth Center focused on English and Math with the addition of extracurricular activities that encourage creative expression. As we work on our Student-Centered approach, our focus will be to allow our kids to "expose, explore, and engage" in material that helps them discover their passions and pursue future career paths.
The curriculum is being developed by our staff in collaboration with an experienced international curriculum developer. Areas of focus include Strategic Thinking, Leadership, Communications, Internet Literacy, and Entrepreneurship. Each student will then have the opportunity to dive into various subject matters on specific career tracks. Curriculum development and implementation is estimated to be complete in 2027.
