Children living in poverty have no chance of a future without the opportunity that education provides. Our program is a proven approach to developing and empowering kids in Nepal. We're currently supporting nearly sixty kids from Primary school through to Uni. During the Covid-19 Pandemic we're also providing home schooling for 20+ Children in the IGWR Houses, and supporting a number of children and their families with essential supplies as many families now have no income.
Some children don't have the opportunity to go to school, and they are left to fend for themselves. Our Education and family support Program provides vulnerable kids wit an education, some we support within their family and others we provide a full residential care environment that offers children the opportunity to explore their full potential. During the Covid-19 pandemic we are providing Home schooling and essential supplies to families wit no income and to 20+ students in IGWR houses.
Over the twelve years we have been running the program we have seen wonderful changes in the local kids, we have a graduated nurses, a doctor and now have nearly sixty kids on their way to realising their fuller potential. The impact of this program is beyond the usual 'charity' work as we are volunteer driven and invest in the future of these children. Over 95% of all donations go directly to support the kids in Nepal.
Children in the program are equipped for achieving at school and that gives them a head-start toward their future opportunities. We are truly giving a life to the children we support and opening the way for ending poverty in their family and the wider community.
