In the last few months, the children of the club have been very busy with their English lessons and activities; eager to learn and have fun.
In July, the children worked on stories with the theme of Diversity. We had our "Primera Feria Clara Luna" (Fair) where there was a garage sale, reading activities, yoga for parents, and a puppet play, "The Musicians of Bremen", prepared by the children. There was a circus for the children with the Anay Pacha project, “Feria de Dulces” (Candy Fair) run by the Club de Jóvenes as well as a raffle of an almost new bicycle.
In cooperation with the Project Desarrollo Sustentable, a workshop took place where the children made toys with recycled material practicing environmental conservation.
We celebrated with National Park Machalilla's 38th Anniversary by marching in the parade with banners proclaiming messages of conservation and environmental protection.
Our Club de Jóvenes bicycled to Los Frailes Beach, in the Machalilla National Park area for a day of recreation.
In August, our Club de Niños concentrated on Hospitality. They listened to stories and did activities illustrating the rainbow of humanity, the children of the world, their rights, and the causes and consequences of migration. They discovered human values such as tolerance, empathy and fraternity that described Hospitality.
Also, the children produced a puppet play "La peor señora del mundo, (The Worst Lady in the World)", which was a resounding success at our monthly event "Érase Una Vez” (Once Upon a Time)
