Africa Schoolhouse is thrilled to be collaborating with The Girls Foundation of Tanzania (TGFT). Our team is currently constructing TGFT’s new Girls Center in Arusha. The compound, designed by Scattergood Design, has a house for the girls, administrative building, volunteer and director houses, library, classroom, guard house, and playing fields. The guard house, girls’ house, and administrative building are almost complete, and the team has just started the volunteer and director’s houses. It’s exciting to see the buildings going up!

We are deeply thankful for TGFT’s Peer Advocates, who recently traveled from Arusha to Mwanza to work with students at Milembe and Mwaniko Secondary Schools. The girls trained students in first aid, menstrual health, reproductive health, and goal setting, providing critical lessons to enhance their lives. Students said that learning important information from peers provided unique insight. The Peer Advocates present with impressive confidence, inspiring their student audiences. It’s so rewarding to collaborate with another non-profit! Thank you, TGFT! And thank you to all of you who make our work possible!
