Our team in Cameroon has hit the ground running this year. And we're excited to share that this project is now fully funded!
Thanks to your support, we will be able to fund a girls' workshop for International Women's Day and the summer holiday tournament for girls in Kumba this summer. The Kumba team is currently engaged in planning a boys' tournament for the Youth Week in Cameroon and will soon shift gears to girls' activities as Women's Day is quickly approaching.
Meanwhile here in Pittsburgh, our 2 high school girls teams are competing in the CitiSports Indoor Soccer (Futsal) league and loving it. They're representing their neighborhoods with new team jerseys this year, too!
As we move forward on GlobalGiving, we will be creating new projects for other activities we have planned later this year, so stay tuned to our page as we 'close out' this project and begin new ones to support girls in Cameroon and continue to pursue our mission to improve the lives and futures of youth through sport (soccer!).
