Thanks to Arms in Arms Africa and Abantu Staffing Solutions for your generosity enabling us to provide over 200 girls in a local high school with a full Dignity Kit, a full menstrual solution for each girl.
Themi and Junior are our Menstrual and Reproductive Health Educators, delivering world class education to young adults who often receive no, or poor-quality information about their menstrual and reproductive health. Themi and Junior deliver the information in the home language of our area, isiXhosa, making it much easier for the students to understand and grasp new information.
The African Angels Days for Girls team have provided more than 400 girls with menstrual health solutions and education over two consecutive years at another local high school, and the Principal directly attributes their 10% improvement in final high school exam results to the fact that the girls have sanitary pads and do not miss school when they have their periods.
This is the power of supporting locally made, sustainable, menstrual health solutions for women and girls in South Africa.
