Our Days for Girls Menstrual and reproductive health educator Temie visited our local supermarket last week, where we donated a Dignity Kit for every lady who worked in the store. We thought this would be the best way to move our product on their shelves, by having staff as advocates for our pads. Our pads are made by local women from Chintsa East, in their community, where they are paid a fair salary, so they are able to be self supporting. The key to their continued employment is being able to sell our products, and our Kits are stocked in two retail outlets in our small town of East London. They can also be purchased online by contacting us directly on loukbillett@gmail.com
Our ladies at the Days for Girls Enterprise were also visited by a Days for Girls volunteer all the way from BC Canada this week. Philippa was so interested to see how Days for Girls operates in a functioning and productive enterprise, and we were delighted to welcome her and show her around. You can clearly see everyone enjoyed each other's company. Thank you for visiting us Philippa.
Please share our work and social media, to broaden the awareness of our beautifully made, environmentally friendly pads.
Thank you,
Lou BIllett
