University Scholarships for Tanzanian Girls

Hello dear AfricAid supporters,

We're thrilled to have your support to help girls who wish to receive teacher training in Tanzania.  Many teachers in Tanzania receive very little training and the profession is not highly regarded.  Girls who are interested in the profession receive little support, yet they will have a huge impact on the next generation of Tanzanians and the country's ability to start pulling itself out of poverty.  By supporting teacher training scholarships, you are exponentially impacting numerous children with a better quality education.

Dear AfricAid Friends,

I want to thank you, once again, for supporting teacher training scholarships for Tanzanian women. Without your support, girls in Tanzania would not have the opportunity to achieve their dreams -- dreams of supporting thousands of students over their lifetime in classrooms across Tanzania.

AfricAid works hard not only to give women the opportunity to go to teacher training college, but also to ensure that teachers have access to the additional training they need to become top-notch teachers -- and provide the highest quality of education while in the classroom. In order to do this, AfricAid supports Teaching in Action, a teacher training workshop that hosts teachers from around the country.
