Dear friends,
Thank you so much for helping AfricAid to build computer labs for students in Tanzania!
As a result of your help, we have been able to install our first two computer labs at our Tanzanian partner schools, using low-cost, energy-efficient systems provided by our technology partner NComputing. These computer labs are powered by Ubuntu, making them virtually free of many of the viruses that cripple computer labs across Tanzania.
NComputing was so impressed with our work in Tanzania that they published a case study about our work and invited our volunteer IT Director, Louis Gutierrez, to a conference in Lusaka to present his work to hundreds of people. You can read more here:

Thank you for making this possible! These two first computer labs are now serving over 2,000 students in northern Tanzania, and the students truly could not be more excited or grateful to get online and start developing their computer skills! They will be excellently-position to compete for scarce jobs in Tanzania -- improving their chances for future educational and professional opportunities a hundred-fold!
With much appreciation, Ashley Shuyler Founder and Executive Director AfricAid
