Dear AfricAid supporters,
Thank you for your generous support to build computer labs in schools in northern Tanzania. We are currently in the process of installing computer labs in our newest 4 partner schools and it is all thanks to your contributions!
These schools will not only be home to a computer lab but will also host our Kisa Program, a program where secondary school girls learn vital life and entrepreneurial skills through weekly mentorship. The students in the Kisa programs as well as all the students in the school will benefit greatly from this new technology as it will teach them skills they will need to get jobs and improve the quality of their lives. Providing the students with these opportunities would not be possible without your support.
Thank you for your support.

Hello to our wonderful AfricAid supporters,
I am so happy to write this update upon arriving in the U.S. after spending 2 weeks in Tanzania in May and June. It was amazing to witness our programs first-hand and to see them working and making a difference in girls' lives.
I saw how critical computer labs are to children in Tanzania. I saw 2 labs that AfricAid had recently installed. These labs give the students a valuable connection to the outside world and skills required to obtain a job upon graduation. The young Tanzanian students I met were confident, bright, articulate and had a vision for their future and the future of their community. With some basic skills and computer proficiency, it is amazing how these students blossom and slowly, one-by-one, help to transform the cycle of poverty in their community.
Thank you very much for your generous support. We are committed to ensuring it goes directly to computer labs and spent wisely.
Asante sana,
Elizabeth Abshire

Dear friends,
Tomorrow morning, I will be leaving for my annual visit to Tanzania. During my six weeks there, I will be visiting several of AfricAid's partner schools, all of which are doing important work to support education in this East African nation. I couldn't be more excited to see how our students have grown in confidence and leadership over the past year.
AfricAid is in the process of completing an installation of three new computer labs at its partner schools in the Arusha region. By the time we write you next, we will be able to share photos and testimonials from those labs. We know that these labs are creating vital learning opportunities for Tanzanian students -- not only are students able to learn vital skills that help them in their quest for scarce employment, but they also have access to a new world of information through the labs. Thank you for making this possible!
I have attached a photo from one of our recently completed labs below. I hope that the smile of this Tanzanian student helps to convey just how needed and appreciated your support is!
All my best,
Ashley Shuyler
