Thank you for supporting disabled children like Ivy
At Action For Kids we know that every disabled or neurodivergent child or young person we support needs something different. There's no one-size-fits-all solution. That's why AFK takes a personalised approach, getting to know each individual, understanding what they need, and providing the right support for their unique journey to independence and wellbeing
Six-year-old Ivy from Brighton has spina bifida and recently had hip reconstruction surgery. After three months in a cast, she needed equipment to help her rebuild strength, but more importantly, to help her be a six-year-old, able to play with her friends.
Our Mobility team didn't just find a trike. They sourced the right trike for Ivy's specific needs. A trike that would support her rehabilitation while giving her the freedom to join her friends riding bikes around her cul-de-sac, cycling to see the horses, and exploring the beach near her home.
And it arrived in sparkle pink, her favourite colour.
Thank you for your continued and genrous support. It is massively appreciated by everyone at AFK and all the families we work with.
