Across Afghanistan, a humanitarian crisis has deepened with thousands forced from their homes or denied basic rights under the Taliban's return to power. Families, communities, and livelihoods are threatened in a region already faced with natural hazards. Your donation will help people in Afghanistan and those displaced from the region.
This humanitarian emergency is dangerous for all Afghans but women, children, activists, and journalists are particularly at risk. The Taliban's ban of women and girl's education and NGO work comes with severe consequences for lives and livelihoods and forces families to make life-threatening choices. Afghanistan also remains prone to natural hazards, such as earthquakes and extreme weather. Millions of Afghans remain in need of both emergency relief, as well as long-term support.
Our partners are helping those who are most at risk - including women, children, and activists - stay safe and survive. Your donation will support their life-saving work. All donations to this fund will support both emergency and long-term relief in Afghanistan. As additional needs emerge from this rapidly changing situation, we will support the efforts of vetted organizations that are local to impacted areas, in addition to those working to help Afghan refugees and deportees.
