Last month, devastating floods swept through Afghanistan, threatening countless lives and destroying critical infrastructure and homes. The northern Baghlan province suffered the most severe impact, with over 300 lives lost and thousands of homes obliterated or severely damaged.
Afghanistan is particularly vulnerable to natural disasters and humanitarian crises. HALO has been steadfastly present in Afghanistan since 1988, enabling us to respond swiftly and effectively when disasters strike.
HALO responded quickly, conducting a needs assessment and distributing 200 food and non-food packages, offering vital relief to 1,400 people affected by the disaster.
Thanks to the support of GlobalGiving, we will be able to provide even more relief. Thank you!
